Storacall renews Hackney Downs Football Club Sponsorship

As part of it's community sports programme Storacall Voice Systems Ltd has just renewed it's sponsorship for the Hackney Downs Football Club for another season. The club plays in the East London Sunday Football League and the London Weekend Football League. The Club has won league cups in both leagues and has come runner-up a couple of times and have other tournament trophies, most notably, the Coventry Caribbean Festival Trophy three times and the East London Sunday League, last year.

The club, which also runs tournaments for local children, was formed in 2001 by Liv Thomas, with the assistance of Hugh Brown and Carl Henry, who were organisers of the park football sessions that have been played regularly on Hackney Downs for many years. Hackney Downs is an area of 16.9 acres of registered common land and metropolitan open space. It was originally Lammas land and the first recorded football match took place in 1872.
