The Virtuosa provides a high quality and varied music source to your callers on hold, closely integrated with the UltraVox DodgeBox, QueueCall and Equate modules.

There are times of the day when you may not be able to get back to callers placed on hold as quickly as you would like. A recent University study concluded that a caller's perception of the time that they had been holding was 20% less when played music than when left holding in silence. Even with music, however, you can annoy callers - muffled sound quality or tunes that repeat endlessly after 15 seconds may do more harm than good.

The Virtuosa module plays music of up to CD quality directly to the hold port of your telephone system and, at the same time, to callers held in an internal UltraVox queue. Music is stored digitally on the UltraVox hard disk drive so the quality is the same every play and the chance of deterioration through mechanical wear virtually eliminated.

Variations

The Virtuosa stores playlists of music - a selection of tracks played consecutively. This means that regular callers have less chance of getting the same track each time. Playlists are easily altered from the Virtuosa tab on the main UltraVox console.

Music Titles The Virtuosa comes with three License Free music titles as standard. License Free music does not require expensive licenses from the PPL (Phonographic Performance Ltd) or PRS (Performing Rights Society) organisations - these can amount to hundreds of pounds a year.

Additional music titles are available from Mirror Audio Ltd, a Storacall associate company which has lists of License Free and Copyright recordings in a variety of styles to suit all applications and tastes.
