Notification Devices
VoxMail Overview - Giving Order to Personal Messaging
The VoxMail is a software module in the Storacall UltraVox system. The VoxMail can run as a stand-alone voice mail system or integrated with other UltraVox modules to provide a complete Call Processing Solution. The UltraVox will connect to virtually any telephone system.
Professional Voice Mail
The UltraVox VoxMail module is a fully featured voice mail and personal messaging system that can be integrated with the other modules of the UltraVox. It will also operate as a stand-alone voice mail server that can give voice mail facilities to a small group or many thousand users. Mailbox owners can receive messages from telephone or as email attachments, so the VoxMail can unify your voice and data messaging.
Easy Administration
The administration console allows the parameters of individual mailbox owners to be set up or quickly changed. The UltraVox Server runs on Windows operating system, but the Administration Console can be run remotely on a Windows machine in a networked UltraVox environment.
Flexible
The options for each mailbox user are under the control of the administrator. Whether you wish each mailbox to be configured in a particular way, or you wish to give each user a choice, there are a large number of parameters that control the way in which messages are received and the options that callers and box owners hear on the phone.
Notification manager
Mail box owners will want to be informed when they have a new message. The VoxMail's Notification Manager is a sophisticated contact mechanism which can use a variety of devices to seek out and inform mailbox owners of new messages according to a predefined set of rules.
A mailbox owner can define their preferred methods of contact and in what order these 'devices' are to be attempted. This notification schedule can vary with the owner's status. A number of predefined statuses are available which include:
- In Office
- Travelling
- Home
- On Leave
The Notification Manager will always use the most appropriate mechanism to inform of new messages. |

Activating a lamp or other warning on the users extension. |

Dialling a phone, extension or mobile and giving the owner the option to hear messages. |

Email Forwarding of Message
The message can be forwarded to the owner as an email attachment in standard .WAV file format. The message can be played once received by the mailbox owner on any Windows PC provided they have an email mechanism capable of supporting attachments, such as Outlook. |

SMS Notification
A text message can inform a caller on their mobile or other SMS compatable device that they have voice messages waiting. |

Fax
A fax can be forwarded to a predefined number with information on the waiting message. |

Public Address
An information message can be played over a public address system, specific to the mailbox where the message has been received.

UltraVox
The VoxMail will integrate fully with all UltraVox modules. For example, the module can be used to provide personal voice mail facilities for ACD agents using the Equate ACD module.
